Invisible Mobs

When I play Survival, I sometimes get attacked randomly, but I don't see any attacker, and no target is shown either. It doesn't make Survival mode unplayable, but it really takes away a lot of the fun. Also, I've been trying to change my password for several days (I forgot it), but even though I enter my email address correctly, I don't get any email.
